Premonitions

Many times recently, I have thought about something random and then it has come back into play later the same day in a way that seems more than coincidental. Somehow, my mind seems to know ahead of time that something unusual is coming.

For example, last week I found myself thinking about an old friend from high school for the first time in years. Then, later that day, this person reached out to me through social media, even though I had never seen their profile before.  This kind of happenstance freaks me out and makes me wonder if premonitions are real.

A few years ago, my husband woke up one morning and said he had a dream about the lottery numbers. He quickly wrote them down on the bedside table. He went to buy a ticket using these exact numbers. The winning jackpot numbers were all one number higher than his picks. How do I explain this?

My mother-in-law was living in a care home and my husband and his sister had just sold her house. She knew it was up for sale, but didn’t know it had just been sold. He wanted to take her there to see it one last time, so he peeled off the “sold” sticker and hid it inside an old bookcase in the carport that held her husbands tools. When she got out of the car, she made a beeline to the old bookcase and opened it. Luckily she didn’t notice the sign because it was turned face-down, but it was very strange nonetheless.
