New Book Coming Soon

I have been super busy lately working on a climate scifi / romance fiction trilogy. I’m keeping the title a secret for now, but I’m excited to reveal it once my cover design and formatting are completed. Here is a synopsis:

The year is 2084, and the Ukraine war of 2022-2025 witnessed a nuclear volley and the subsequent collapse of the Russian superpower. NATO has been replaced by one world government called Mearth. Global warming has forced the world’s population to live under climate controlled geodesic domes. There is a nuclear fallout zone around Ukraine called Espobelaravia, or Espo for short. The setting is under the Kamchatka dome in eastern Russia.

The two main characters are Misha and Zane, two young eco-scientists who fall in love when she joins his jobsite. There is a budding romance with some spicy scenes, making this more appropriate for an adult target audience. As engineers, they both pursue innovative careers in eco-science: she’s a passionate scuba diver and he builds climate control venting systems.

Misha discovers a new kelp species during one of her dives, which she hopes will have long-term carbon capture potential. Later, they find that the kelp has anti-radiation properties and can potentially be used in the fallout zone clean-up. Their work team begins to focus on this new project.

Misha and Zane want to have a child, but Big Brother© controls the fertilization process through its single child policy and fathers have lost their reproductive rights. With the help of Zane’s mother, who works at the fertility lab, they secretly engineer their own jar-baby.  Zane believes he cannot connect to a child who isn’t biologically his own. Here, the question of what fatherhood means is tackled from different perspectives.

I’m hoping you might purchase a copy when my book is released. Stay tuned for further details on the exact date. Please subscribe/ comment below or share a favorite science fiction title or author.
